Hi I'm Madelyn Cline,
we are the cast of The Map That Leads to You
and this is Seek Counsel.

[Madelyn squealing]
Okay.
No, yes ask me next Tuesday.
What's a travel partner red flag I should never ignore?
[Madelyn gasps]
Nap time.
If nap time is not included in travel, red flag.
Oh I completely agree, I think that's great.
I think the whole thing should be nap time.
Yeah. [Madelyn laughs]
Is that the, the name of the movie now?
The Map that Leads to Nap Time.
[KJ] Exactly.
Come on, oh are we doing musical chairs?
Let's go. Okay.
[wheel clicking]
Oh romance.
Press the button. Oh yeah.
[zany music]
[Sofia] Oh... Give it to me.
Come on. Okay.
I want to explore my spontaneous side,
what is a good way to improve that?
I wanna explore my spontaneous side?
Mm hmm you're super spontaneous.
I'm like, I gave this to you.
Ask a stranger where they're going and then go with them.
Yeah.
You know, ask them, can I join?
What are your guys' thoughts on that?
Oh actually I realize that might be a bad idea.
Something about that feels a little dangerous.
I think if you're over 18, that's fine.
That's coming from a man.
But if there's anyone under 18,
I would not take that advice.
Please actually don't take my advice.
That's what I was gonna say, maybe-
Maybe that was not a good idea.
Maybe not the first advice I would take.
Guys, it's an easy answer.
Okay, okay I feel...
Yeah, you were ready.
Throw your calendar away.
[Madison] Oh! Yeah.
Throw your phone away actually too.
Chuck it in the water. [Madelyn laughs]

[zany music]
What's one nice thing you think I forget about myself?
How should I remind myself?
[castmates swooning]
I think that you forget
about how good of a listener you are.
Thank you.
You should remind yourself of it more
by surrounding yourself with people
who are as good of listeners as you.
Maybe you don't get that back,
so I feel like surrounding yourself
with good listeners is important.
She's feeding my delusion.
Did you mean that?
Yeah. Wow.
From the depths of my heart.
Thanks.

Oh wait, sorry. [castmates laughing]

Like you're so cute
that you don't need to worry about being creepy.
So like just be forward, like say how I feel?
Be yourself and be forward and do not be scared.
Thank you for that advice.
Okay practice it on me.
[Madelyn laughs]
I have to be forward?
Yeah and don't be scared.
No, no come on, try.
I don't, I don't- I'm not looking at you.
And then get my attention and I'll look at you.
[Madison] What? Okay right.

She has a really good track record.
Is ghosting ever a good idea when dating?
No, no, no, no, no, no, no, no.
Just be honest if you don't like them,
just say, Hey, I just think we're better off as friends,
but I really respect you as a person.
Just leave it there and that's that.
Do you guys think that that's good advice?
Yeah I don't think ghosting is a good idea at all.
[bell chimes] Right.
I'm gonna take devil's advocate on this one
because I think that assumes that the person
might not pick up when you're walking away.
So I feel like sometimes you have to have it
as a last resort if they're not picking up
that things aren't going the right way.
As as a last resort.
That's emergency exit. Yeah.
Should we practice it?
Should we practice it or not?
Yeah let's practice it.
Hey, listen babe.
Hey excuse me. Hi KJ.
Hey I just wanna let you know
that I have thoroughly enjoyed my time with you,
but you know, my heart's not really in the right place
and it's nothing to do with you, you're incredible,
I think it's time for us to go our separate ways.
Thank you for being so honest with me, I accept.
[KJ] Cool. Perfect.
See, that's a perfect example
of how communication is way better than ghosting.
It's like a dating advice show.
I know.
[lively music] [KJ sighs]

Oh sorry. [zany music]

Immediately to me, dating means you're...
You're not a situationship, you're dating.
Yes, you're official.
So like you know, whenever you want,
as soon as you can, who cares it's your parents.
I am very close with my parents,
they're very involved in my life
and I would want them to meet anyone
that I know, love, and care about.
But it also is situational you know, it depends.
